Read moreUSC’s Gus Malzahn has a few options when it comes to the 2017 season, and there are some familiar faces that have been around the program for a while.
Malzahn is still searching for a replacement for former head coach Dave Clawson after losing the program to Florida last year.
The Trojans will have to wait until 2019 to find one after the departure of defensive coordinator Bob Diaco.
A couple of familiar names are returning as well, including quarterback Josh Rosen and running back Jalen Richard.
The Trojals, who lost two of their top three receivers in the 2017 draft, will have their first-ever top-10 recruiting class when they open at the Georgia Dome on Nov. 13 against the Bulldogs.
Rosen is ranked No. 1 in the 247Sports Composite, while Richard is ranked as the No. 6 running back.
The 6-foot-3, 218-pound Rosen, who led USC with 1,716 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2016, was the first player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in a season.
The 4-star prospect, who committed to USC on June 29, is expected to take part in a combine, and he was the No: 2 player in the class by 247Sports.
Richard is expected at the combine after he had offers from Auburn, Ohio State, Florida State, Georgia, Notre Dame, LSU and Texas A&M.
He is the No, 4-ranked running back and No. 4 player in California.
